GANTRY CRANES

Gantry Cranes are overhead cranes supported by legs that run on tracks, often used in outdoor applications or areas where overhead structures are impractical. They provide flexibility in moving large loads over a wide area, typically in ports, construction sites, and industrial settings.

    Types of Gantry Cranes:

Deck-Leg Gantry – Both tracks are at ground level, with the trolley moving between the legs.

Through-Leg Gantry – Allows the crane to handle loads outside the runway area, with or without carrying loads through the legs.

Semi-Gantry – Features legs of unequal length, operating on rails at different elevations..

Bridge Building Gantry – Used for handling segments in bridge construction, with the ability to lay rails for continued crane movement.

Portal Gantry – Handles loads perpendicular to crane travel, useful for unloading vehicles outside the crane bay.
